AI in GI Summit 2026 - From Data to Diagnosis
Artificial intelligence is increasingly finding its way into gastroenterology and is becoming a valuable tool in everyday clinical practice. It can analyze endoscopic and imaging data, identify patterns, and help physicians make diagnostic decisions more quickly and accurately. The event “AI in GI Summit 2026 – From Data to Diagnosis,” held on March 19th, 2026, at the Kartause Ittingen, impressively demonstrated how digital innovation and clinical expertise can work hand in hand to complement medical practice and further improve patient care.
The event provided a concise overview of current and future applications of AI — ranging from polyp detection and inflammatory diagnostics to image-based early detection in the upper GI tract. Through lectures and interactive workshops, participants discussed how AI-based systems can assist physicians in the diagnostic process, the opportunities this provides, as well as its limitations. The focus was consistently on the meaningful integration of these technologies as supportive tools in everyday clinical practice.
On this page, you will find video recordings of the presentations.
